What does the kid say?

Please welcome my guest blogger today- The Kid! He'll be popping in occasionally to share his perspective on homeschooling and the ups and downs on this path.

My name is Zack, I am ten years old and I am a homeschooled kid. I have been homeschooling for 3 years now. When you are homeschooled, you can work at your own pace. Homeschooling allows kids to work at their own pace. Unlike normal schools, homeschooled kids are done when they are finished with their work instead of getting more work every time they finish an assignment. I also get to have work that is at my level and fits my needs. It is a great way to work on learning what is fitting for you and your education.

Writing this right now, I am sitting on the couch and listening to “Shark Tank”. I work anywhere I can in my house; I have worked in my bed, my couch, my desk, and my floor. It helps me educationally by letting me take my creativity where I need it.

I like homeschooling but someone else may not like it because you lose social time by working from home. I can skype with my friends and have a lot of fun with them online though, which is good. I hope that you enjoy my guest blog post on my mom’s blog. Thank you!
